With presents to wrap, parties to attend and eggnog to drink, the Chicks decided to take a holiday hiatus. But, of course, we couldn’t leave (for a couple of weeks) without saying goodbye. Read on for a holiday message from your favorite Chicks—and we’ll see you in January!
Ho, ho, ho, people!! Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who’s subscribed to our blog this year, as well as to our occasional visitors and most especially our commenters! We love hearing from you, and look forward to continuing the fun in 2017. Meanwhile, have yourself a merry little Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, a joyeux noel, a happy Festivus, and a happy whatever else you celebrate. And be sure to eat your black-eyed peas as you ring in the New Year—or don’t, as you see fit—but know that we appreciate every last one of you and look forward to seeing you next year!
I’m not doing anything or going anywhere special for the holidays. It’ll just be what I do every year. I’ll spend Christmas Eve at my aunt’s annual holiday party then head to my dad and grandpa’s to give them their presents. I’ll end the evening at my mom’s–setting up presents for my niece and nephew. The next morning I’ll be up early to watch my niece and nephew’s reactions to Santa’s overnight visit then the adults will exchange gifts! It may not be Christmas in the Bahamas but it’s still the perfect Christmas to me. Happy Holidays!!
This year, we’re going back to my hometown of New York, New York for the week between the holidays to see my mom, who isn’t up to making the trip to us. We were going to see a Broadway show until I discovered that my ticket cost for Book of Mormon wasn’t $250 for three tickets, it was $250 PER ticket. So now I may just stand on Broadway and sing the score to my family. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! (And five, six, seven, eight…)
We’d love to hear what you’ll be doing for the holidays. Drop us a note in the comments below!
