Just remembered that it’s not my birthday

Scrolling around on my phone, I suddenly realized I have a birthday coming up very soon. Since I’m at an age that I don’t celebrate birthdays anymore, it’s not a big deal. The only reason it is a SEMI big deal is that it reminds me that my mom’s birthday is coming up kind of soon.

She’s someone that I do still celebrate birthdays for. She’s inching much closer to ninety than I had remembered. Not close enough that we’ll be putting 90 on her cake this year. Nope.

I do always buy her a gift for her birthday. No ideas yet. Feel free to chime in if you have ideas for a lady close to ninety years old; I don’t have any fresh ideas for her.

I just started looking around for ideas in women’s wear. You never know what might pop up. Actually what popped up was robes on sale. Unfortunately, my mom doesn’t need a robe. She already has a couple of nice ones. I could really, really use a robe, but I’m not shopping for myself.

My sister’s birthday comes up soon after my mom’s birthday. I guess I could shop for her. That would put me ahead of schedule on something for a change. It’s getting late and I don’t need to sit up past bedtime shopping for my mom’s birthday next month, or my sister’s birthday after that. I could jump online and order some groceries from Walmart, I suppose.

I’m sorry for getting carried away thinking about my mom’s not-too distant birthday. Wait… she was born on a Sunday. I could probably find pajamas with that written on them. Maybe in pink? Never mind, I’ll think about that tomorrow. And my nephew’s birthday is a couple of days after my mom’s. I should go ahead a get a card for him while I’m at it.

If I happen to find a robe I like, I’ll just stick it on my Amazon Christmas gift list. If my husband or sister are looking for ideas, they might look there just in case. I can’t believe I’m thinking about my own non-remarkable year birthday. My mom has probably already bought me a birthday card. I’m sure she has. If I email her and ask about her birthday, she’d tell me she doesn’t need anything. Then, she’ll ask me what I want for my birthday.

Do you sit around before bed thinking about random things? Let me know in the comments. If you have an idea for my mom’s birthday, please list that too!

  1. Are there people who DON’T lie around at night thinking of random things. lol?

My mom loved food (that’s where I get it from), so I always either sent her something delicious for her birthday or cooked her something special.
